Extracurriculars

Musician, Drums 2019 – Present

I love playing drums, and I have been training at the Soundmonk School of Music since 2019. I have cleared the Trinity Grade 4 examination with distinction and am currently preparing for the Grade 5 examination. I also passed the Rock & Pop Grade 1 examination with distinction. Some of my favourite pieces to play include Riff Raff by AC/DC, and Stressed Out and Ride by 21 Pilots. I have played at many charity events with my band from Soundmonk.

I also had the opportunity to play at the annual day for my school Dhirubhai Ambani International School for the music band at the show. I have played with the house ( Jaguars) band for inter house music events and won first place at my school – DAIS.

Scuba Diving

My interest in marine life goes beyond academic engagement. I am a certified scuba diver by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, I am an open water scuba diver, having tested my skills in the waters of Maldives, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Europe! I have also received the certification for Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving. I was certified as a junior diver for open water diving from Andaman and Nicobar at DIVE INDIA in 2019 & was certified Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver at Maldives in 2022.

Public Speaking

2020 – Present

I am a skilled and enthusiastic orator, I enjoy public speaking and am always prepared to speak my mind. I have participated in inter and intra school Model United Nations such as: IYC (Best Delegate), Podar Summit and HSC MUN

I have participated in the International Youth Conference held at Jamnabai Narsee International School and won the Best Delegate award, being the only student in my grade to receive the honour. I have also participated in the OIS MUN OGC in 2023, where I was a delegate in the HUNSC committee and received a Honorable Mention for my performance. More recently, he participated in the International Youth Conference in September 2023 , The OIS MUN JVLR and The Podar Summit in October 2023, for which I was awarded the High Commendation accolade at all three conferences. I went on to participate and win at Atlas Model United Nations and IYC in 2024.

I have Cleared the Grade 1 level of Communication skills with Distinction; passed the Grade 1 level of Rock and Pop with distinction; Cleared Grade 5 level of Speech and Drama with distinction

Art

2016 – Present

I am a prolific artist and has been learning since 10 years. Sketching is a major destresser for me, but it isn’t the only form of art I am good at! I especially enjoy working with acrylic knives. I am intrigued by and love to experiment with mixed media. My preferred art style is contemporary art. I also entered the visual art division of the Ocean Awareness Contest in June 2023

Writing

August 2022 – Present

I participated in the Immerse Essay Competition 2022. wrote on the topic “In your opinion, what have been the most significant engineering innovations to date, and why?”; awarded the Essay Prize and a 20% scholarship and the Senior Category prompt examining the juxtaposition of the nature versus nurture issue “Which existential threat are humans underestimating?”

In June 2021, I was also awarded the second prize for my participation in the Stellar Storyteller Competition. Further, I also competed in the John Locke Essay Competition in June 2023 with the prompt “Do the results of elections express the will of the people?”
